I’m afraid to say that it’s a cop-out this week; I’ve been out reporting in Oaxaca, so haven’t had time to work on At Large. But I’m sharing here a selection of my recent work, including a radio monologue on the history of a Mexico City district, Roma, for The Urbanist; an overview of the new Mexican art and design fair, Salon Cosa, for the Monocle On Design podcast; and an article on Mexican restaurant, Expendio de Maíz, for Toast.
More pieces to share soon, and I’ll also be posting an actual article for At Large next week – promise.
Until then,
Louis
Listened to your Monocle 24 “Tall Cities” Radio monologue. I really enjoyed it! I noticed you mentioned the earthquake happened in 81’, when it actually happened in 85’. Also, locals do prefer to call Roma Norte “La Roma.” Great monologue!
